In May 2024 we completed Llanilltud School in Pontypridd. We worked with Morgan Sindall Construction on the school, which was then handed over to Rhondda Cynon Taff Borough Council.

The primary school comprises of 240 pupil places plus 30 nursery places and is a Net Carbon Zero school thanks to air source heat pumps and solar technologies.

This was the first project to be handed over under the Welsh Government’s Mutual Investment Model (MIM) via Welsh Education Partnership Company (WEPco) working with us (team Whitehead) and Morgan Sindall. (The second was Penygawsi School, see separate case study).

Here at Whitehead we pride ourselves on being experts in the delivery of educational facilities and are really proud to have finished this project, which is so valuable to our communities in RCT and Wales.
