Penygawsi Primary School was completed in July 2024.

Team Whitehead worked with Morgan Sindall Construction on the school which was then handed over to Rhondda Cynon Taff Borough Council.

The project consisted of a two-storey new build which will target Net Zero Carbon in operation, on the current school site. The school will now able to accommodate 310 pupils and 45 nursery places.

This is the second project to be handed over under the Welsh Government’s Mutual Investment Model (MIM) via Welsh Education Partnership Company (WEPco). The first was Llanilltud School which completed earlier in the year.
