Making biotech manufacturing more sustainable
Pharma company Cytiva was expanding its site in Cardiff. The work included refurbishing an adjacent building to create 6,000m² of clean rooms, as well as office spaces and staff facilities.
For this £4.1m M&E project our brief was to optimise electricity use and reduce overall consumption. We completed infrastructure work across the new site plus electrical installation work on six ISO 7 class cleanrooms for manufacturing. We also supplied cutting edge services to the offices helping them run close to carbon neutral. This was followed by the design and build of M&E services for a new freeze drier / packaging area, as well as refurbishing a POP lab.
More energy efficient biotech manufacturing: just what the doctor ordered.
