Whitehead has proudly sponsored Perranporth Rugby Football Club since 2014, supporting teams from Under 15 (U15) through to Under 18 (U18) over the years. This season marks an exciting new chapter with a three-year agreement in place that sees Whitehead as the main shirt sponsor for both the U18 Colts and the Senior Men’s 1st Team.
For the 2025–2026 season, Whitehead is also proud to be the main kit sponsor of Perranporth RFC’s Men’s 1st Team. After finishing an impressive 5th place in the National Counties 2 Tribute League last season, the team is currently sitting 6th in the league, while also competing in the Papa John’s National Cup and progressing through to the second round. This continued on-field success reflects the strength and ambition of the club at senior level.
Our decision to continue and expand this partnership is a personal one. Lewis, the son of our Operations Manager for Devon and Cornwall, Rob Crannis, has been part of Perranporth RFC since the age of five in 2012. Now a Cornwall County Under 18 (U18) player, Lewis has recently reached the final trials for the England RFU Counties U18 side an achievement that reflects both his dedication and the outstanding development pathway provided by the club.
During Whitehead’s time as a sponsor, the club has enjoyed a strong and successful history, including:
- 2019–2020 U14 – Shield Winners (Playing kit sponsored alongside DHL)
- 2021–2022 U15 – League Shield Winners (Playing kit sponsored alongside DHL)
- 2023–2024 U16 – League Cup Finalists (Playing kit sole sponsor)
- 2024–2025 U18 Colts – Unbeaten League Season, 2nd in the League Cup and Cornwall Cup (Training and weatherproof kit sponsor)
- 2025–2026 U18 Colts (current season) – 2nd in the League, with two cup competitions still to come (Playing kit, training kit and weatherproof kit sponsor)
The club is also entering an exciting period of development off the pitch, with a new clubhouse scheduled to commence in January 2026, followed by changing room refurbishments from August 2026. These well-deserved improvements reflect the club’s long-standing history and continued commitment to the game.
