Welcoming New Apprentices: The Next Generation of Tradespeople

11 September 2025

Since Whitehead was established in 1978 we’ve provided opportunities to more than 100 apprentices, and each generation has shown outstanding dedication and hard work across both the practical and theoretical aspects of their training.

We’re proud to continue welcoming and inspiring new talent each year — and 2025 is no different. This year will see us welcome 11 apprentices, across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.  When asked how they felt about starting their construction journey, our newest trainees said:

“To start my apprenticeship at Whitehead I feel very pleased since it is a company with a good reputation in South Wales.”

“I feel very good about starting my apprenticeship and look forward to coming across new challenges and meeting new people.”

“I’m happy to have found an apprenticeship with a company that’s so well known in the construction industry.”

“I’m very excited to start the apprenticeship and look forward to learning about the trade.”

Rhys Morton, Managing Director added:

“It was a pleasure to welcome our new apprentices as part of the September 2025 intake. Today, 11 new recruits begin their journey toward a bright future in building services. They join a talented team at Whitehead, where they will learn from a skilled and loyal workforce.

I’d like to wish all our new apprentices the very best of luck in their careers and look forward to watching them grow and develop their skills over the coming years.

Apprenticeships have long been a cornerstone of our business’s success and the high-quality service we deliver. Our home-grown talent approach has proven to be a winning formula, with many former apprentices now holding senior positions within the company.”

From everyone at Whitehead we’d like to extend a warm welcome and congratulations to all our new apprentices. We’re excited to have you join- us and we look forward to working with you as you begin your journey in the construction industry.
