Whitehead Centre of Excellence

23 October 2026

Our 2026 intake of apprentices are the first to begin their Whitehead journey at our new centre  and we’re proud to officially announce the launch of new Whitehead Skills Academy.

Designed to  inspire careers and deliver excellence across the building services industry, the centre provides our apprentices with a dedicated environment to develop their practical skills, build confidence and gain valuable experience alongside their time on site.

Since 1978, Whitehead Building Services has championed apprenticeship development. Today, more than 40 apprentices are beginning their careers with us across electrical, mechanical and maintenance disciplines, and this year we’re delighted to welcome 10 new apprentices to our purpose-built academy.

This investment reflects the importance we place on apprenticeships and the vital role they play in shaping the future of our business and the wider industry.

Our Managing Director, Rhys Morton, said:

“Opening our new training centre is a key milestone for our business and something I am extremely proud of. We wanted to create a dedicated space where our apprentices could develop their practical skills, build confidence and gain valuable experience in a professional environment alongside their time on site.

Investing in the next generation has always been important to Whitehead Building Services, and this training centre is another significant step in that commitment. It is not simply a space for training; it is an investment in our people and the future of our industry.

I am looking forward to seeing how our apprentices use the facilities, develop their skills and ultimately progress within the business.”

The Whitehead Skills Academy gives our learners the tools, environment and support they need to thrive, while providing a dedicated space for learning, development and knowledge sharing.

We’re excited to see our apprentices make the most of the new facilities and look forward to watching them develop their skills and careers with Whitehead.

The future starts here. The future starts with our apprentices.
