Team Whitehead complete the Welsh 3 Peak Challenge for St Davids Hospice Care.

Ian, Jacob, Andrew, Ray and Josh from Whitehead completed the challenge on Saturday (29th June) in aid of St Davids Hospice Care, and are almost at their £1k fundraising target!

The challenge – to climb Snowdon, Cadair Idris AND Pen y Fan took them 16.5 hours in total, not including the drive to Snowdon starting from Tiny Rebel in Rogerstone, with a mini bus kindly provided by Enterprise and driven by Whitehead team member, Ray Bird.

The intrepid team started to mount Snowdon at 04.00 and finished the descent of Pen y Fan at 20.30.

They walked over 35km with elevation climbed over 2650m!!!

Ian Williams, Health & Safety Manager at Whitehead commented “One of the biggest challenges was using any spare space and the air con in the mini bus to try and dry out our wet clothing and walking shoes!”

“Weather at the top of both Snowdon and Cadair Idris was raining, windy and cold, but we did manage to see some sun walking up Pen y Fan”.

If you’d like to sponsor our team, it’s not too late:
