Whitehead has been long established, celebrating 48 years of business this year from its head office in Newport. This year it celebrates its 15 year anniversary of the Bristol office, which opened in 2009.
Whitehead, or Whitehead Building Services offers a full range of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services to construction projects across the UK, as well as a large maintenance division offering planned and preventative maintenance solutions to a wide range of industries.
Whilst Whitehead specialises primarily in the health and education sectors, they have worked and continue to work across a variety of other sectors including multi-residential (such as student accommodation and care homes) and even recently acquired a maintenance contract with English Heritage.
The central theme of all of Whitehead’s work is sustainability – with an emphasis on helping organisations to achieve Net Zero via their energy efficient systems and procedures including the installation of air-source heat pumps and solar technologies.
Whitehead covers the whole of Wales and the South West region, with offices based in Newport, Bristol and Cornwall and projects covering as far afield as Birmingham. “Wherever we operate, our ambition is to ensure we meet and exceed our client expectations” commented Ben Nash, operations director for Bristol.
The Bristol branch of Whitehead was opened in 2009 by Mike Parry, who is now Group Operations Director across the business. Earlier projects included the University of the West of England (UWE) Faculty of Business and Law, Ensleigh North Residential Development, Holbourne Park Residential Development, New Look Head Office, One Victoria Street Office Development, Redcliffe Street Office Development, Vision Laboratories, Malmaison Hotel (Cheltenham).
